God’s Goodness In Your Life
Do you know anyone who could honestly say nothing good has ever happened to them? Probably not and even if someone did say that, then they obviously are unaware of God’s goodness in their lives. The psalmist writes “He fills my life with good things. My youth is renewed like the eagle’s!” (Psalm 103:5, NLT)
What are you good at? Teaching, counseling, writing, singing, dancing, speaking, drawing, preaching, acting, cooking, presenting, encouraging, evangelizing? Your talents, skills, and abilities are good things that God has filled your life with.
What is currently satisfying in your life? Your career, health, marriage, relationships, friendships, finances, business, school, church, hobbies? That satisfaction is a result of God’s goodness in your life.
Have you gotten any blessings lately? Has a prayer been answered? Has anything good but unexpected happened? Have you received healing? Have you been promoted? Have you been delivered from evil? That is God’s goodness in your life.
To conclude the Psalmist writes, “My youth is renewed like the eagle’s.” This is the Psalmist’s way of saying that God not only fills your life with good things, but He also gives you the ability, strength, and energy to enjoy those good things.
Finally, even if you feel like you have had nothing but bad experiences, please realize that those bad experiences can actually work in your favor. Roman’s 8:28 says, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” Even in your bad experiences, you experience God’s goodness.
Amen
That is so true that a lot of times we don’t recognize Gods goodness because we are looking at the so called bad. The fact that God wakes up whether it’s in the morning ,noon or night. It is the goodness of Jesus. New mercies you see every day .
